Stephen Kenny Statements at AAF Hampstead

Preparations are underway for our Photobooth event at the AAF Happy Hampstead...

Last year we commissioned Stephen Kenny to produce six letterpress prints featuring our favourite art quotations. They were a huge success so we're delighted to release his latest selection at the fair. Pick your favourite quote and pose for a photo with it for a keepsake of your visit. See all the quotations on our website.

Thank you for coming

We want to say a big thank you to everyone who attended our book launch for Rob Ryan's 'A Sky Full of Kindness' last night at 33 Portland Place.

Rob's original papercuts looked fantastic on display in the room made famous by The King's Speech. There was a great turnout, and we hope you all had an excellent evening in such a fabulous venue.

If you'd like to know more about the book, the papercuts and the limited edition lasercut just drop us a line.

See you again soon...

New arrivals - Maps and Money

A wonderful selection of maps arrived in the gallery last week from Justine Smith and Dahlia Elsayed. Justine's maps exploit the beauty of banknotes to explore how money influences our society, while Dahlia's two series of drawings (new in from the USA) are personal recollections of a trip to the Pacific Northwest.

The photos don't fully convey the beautiful colours and composition of these works so make sure you see them in the flesh over the coming months: we'll be showing them at art fairs and The Art of Mapping exhibition (see our full listings here)

The Art of Mapping in the making

In November TAG will present 'The Art of Mapping,' a group exhibition of contemporary artistic cartography at the Air Gallery, Dover Street.

The exhibition brings together familiar names and new artists, many of whom are creating brand new pieces. We visited Jonathan Parsons and Susan Stockwell in their studios for an early look at their work in progress...

Chris Mitton

Chris Mitton's latest work is an inspired piece of carving. The life-sized sculpture of a crisp packet and eight individual crisps is made entirely out of solid Carrara marble, but looks good enough to eat! This is part of Mitton's 'Revalue' series, where he takes the most unlikely of throwaway items and meticulously recreates them in marble monuments to the mundane.

Varnishing Day at the Royal Academy

The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition is opening soon, and Katsutoshi Yuasa is the winner of this year's Towry Print Prize. We were thrilled to be there at yesterday's Varnishing Day to accept the award on his behalf. Rob Ryan's beautiful screenprints are also on display.

Congratulations to both artists, and thank you to the RA for organising an excellent event. Royal Academy | Katsutoshi Yuasa | Rob Ryan
