Chris Mitton

Chris Mitton's latest work is an inspired piece of carving. The life-sized sculpture of a crisp packet and eight individual crisps is made entirely out of solid Carrara marble, but looks good enough to eat! This is part of Mitton's 'Revalue' series, where he takes the most unlikely of throwaway items and meticulously recreates them in marble monuments to the mundane.

Varnishing Day at the Royal Academy

The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition is opening soon, and Katsutoshi Yuasa is the winner of this year's Towry Print Prize. We were thrilled to be there at yesterday's Varnishing Day to accept the award on his behalf. Rob Ryan's beautiful screenprints are also on display.

Congratulations to both artists, and thank you to the RA for organising an excellent event. Royal Academy | Katsutoshi Yuasa | Rob Ryan
