Claire Brewster | Personal Territories | Geneva

Each year, to celebrate the publication of Interior Design Review, Interior Designer of the Year 2014 Jorge Canete gives carte blance to an artist to stage a temporary exhibition in his home, a Chateau near Geneva in Switzerland. This year Claire Brewster was invited to take part, and the resulting exhibition 'Personal Territories' is now open.

The exhibition invites you to explore the exquisitely ethereal world of Claire's work, whilst also entering the imagination of an eccentric collector.

Claire's artworks, which have been created using vintage maps and metal, present an expression of childhood dreams and memories brought to reality. The creatures on display take on a life of their own in a metaphor for our attempt to control nature, which in fact remains untameable, in a constant display of power and beauty.

The exhibition is open by appointment until December.

Susan Stockwell | World Bank Commission | Royal Shakespeare Company Artist In Residence

Susan Stockwell’s The World Bank, which was recently completed as a special commission, is a stunning world map meticulously hand-crafted by the artist using hundreds of individual bank notes. The work exemplifies Susan’s practice of transforming everyday materials into aesthetically beautiful artworks, that also comment on issues of ecology, geo-politics and global commerce.

Among Susan’s next projects is an exciting new residency at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-Upon-Avon. She will be developing new work for exhibition at the RSC in April 2015, responding to their Spring 2015 season, which is to include Othello, The Merchant of Venice, and Death of a Salesman. As well as looking at what is taking place on stage, her work will also consider the range of carefully choreographed hidden activity, from costume making to rigging, that exists behind the scenes.

Justine Smith | Show Me The Money | New Editions

Now available on our website are two stunning new limited edition prints by Justine Smith; A Bigger Bang Black - Diamond Dust, and Blow. The former (see above) was created especially for the exhibition 'Show Me The Money' which is currently being shown in two parts at Chawton House Library, Hampshire, and John Hansard Gallery, Southampton University.

The exhibition explores how art and culture has engaged with various aspects of the financial world over the last three centuries, illuminating its mechanisms and encouraging the viewer to think anew about the nature of finance.

Justine's exploration of currency is also present in Blow. This powerful and provocative print is the partner image of 2012's Boom, a highly successful limited edition, which was produced as a special commission for the Manchester City Galleries exhibition 'The First Cut.'

We will be exhibiting A Bigger Bang and Blow during Frieze Week at Moniker Art Fair, Shoreditch. During the fair's Private View Justine will be joining us on our stand to turn money into art with her 'Value English' and 'Luxury English' embossed, signed and numbered editions.

Heidi Whitman | Heaven, Hell and Here | Until April 20

Christopher Henry Gallery | 127 Elizabeth St. | New York | NY 10013

Heidi Whitman's stunningly intricate imagined maps can currently be explored at the artist's solo show, Heaven, Hell and Here at the Christopher Henry Gallery, New York City.

The exhibition consists of three site specific artworks - Heaven, Hell  and Here - which have been created by the artist through the deconstuction and rearrangement of hundreds of sheets of paper.

Heaven resembles a delicately woven series of blue celestial islands that rise gracefully from the floor to ceiling of the gallery. Hell, which is partly inspired by the horrors of Dante's Inferno, is a compendium of reds and blacks that evoke an apocalyptic landscape and the fires of the underworld. Finally, Here brings the viewer back to the 'real' world with the charting of an individual's journey through the urban landscape, which is here visualised in a network of interconnected paper, string and wires.

Overall the unique vision put forward in Heaven, Hell and Here brings together the imagined and the real to create a wonderfully complex and ethereal paper universe.

Peter Dean | Time Travellers Invitation

Peter Dean - Time Travellers Invitation | 2014 | Limited edition Letterpress Print
Printed at New North Press | Edition of 100 | Signed in pencil by the artist

Following on from last year's painstaking recreation of the poster behind the John Lennon-penned Beatles song, 'Being for the Benefit of Mr Kite!', Peter Dean has created a new letterpress print, titled 'Time Travellers Invitation.' His latest work also takes inspiration from a British icon at the forefront of our collective popular consciousness, this time from the world of science, not music - Professor Stephen Hawking.

This stunning Victoriana letterpress poster is part of a real time-travel experiment devised by the world-renowned physicist. In an ingeniously simple experiment, designed to prove whether time travel to the past is possible, Professor Hawking held a 'Reception for Time Travellers.' The party was advertised solely after the event had taken place, meaning only those able to travel back in time could attend.

The success of this experiment depends entirely on the invitation poster being seen by time travellers. Therefore, in purchasing this print, you could help to prove that time travel to the past is possible.

Tobias Till | Oranges and Lemons

Tobias Till | Oranges & Lemons | 2013 | Limited edition lino-cut print
Edition of 50 | Signed and editioned by the artist | 112 x 229 cm

Tobias Till's latest work is an incredibly detailed view of London which condenses an abundance of fascinating imagery and history about the city into an image based around the classic nursery rhyme 'Oranges and Lemons.' Within the print figures and buildings from different historical periods have been illustrated side by side, creating multiple narratives and capturing the incredible character and diversity of London's history.

This project has taken 18 months to realise. In this time the artist has undertaken a vast amount of research and preparatory drawings, finally hand printing the image in 7 colours, using 5 separate colour blocks.
